O Festival Internacional de Jazz de Montreal, criado em 1980 por Alain Simard, André Ménard, Denyse McCann e Alain de Grosbois, há mais de 40 anos apresenta músicos e intérpretes dos mais diversos gêneros e influências.

O Antonio Carlos Jobim Award, instituído por ocasião do 25º aniversário do festival, já homenageou artistas como Emir Kusturica, Youssou N'Dour, Gilberto Gil, Bebel Gilberto, Ibrahim Ferrer e muitos outros.

No dia 4 de julho, foi a vez da nossa Marisa Monte ser agraciada com o prêmio.

The Montreal International Jazz Festival, created in 1980 by Alain Simard, André Ménard, Denyse McCann and Alain de Grosbois, has been presenting musicians and performers from the most diverse genres and influences for over 40 years.

The Antonio Carlos Jobim Award, established on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the festival, has honored artists such as Emir Kusturica, Youssou N'Dour, Gilberto Gil, Bebel Gilberto, Ibrahim Ferrer and many others.

On the 4th of July, it was our Marisa Monte's turn to receive the award.
