Arthur was a student of Lúcia Branco, such as Luiz Eça, Nelson Freire, Jaques Klein, and Tom Jobim. He was a classic. An erudite. He visited Tom Jobim with maestro J C Martins, and they played Ave Maria.
He recorded Villa Lobos, Pixinguinha, Nazareth, Z Abreu, Mignone
Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schuman, Liszt, Paganini, Mendelshon, Chopin, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Rubstein, and Debussy
With over 60 recorded albums, the pianist played with the Leningrad, Moscow and Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestras and with the Berlin, Vienna and Prague Symphonies, the BBC in London and the French National Orchestra
At the age of eight, he played a Mozart concerto with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. His teachers were Lúcia Branco (Rio de Janeiro), Marguerite Long (Paris) and Rudolf Kehrer (Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow).
