Bing Crosby recorded Copacabana and Aquarela do Brasil.

Dick Farney lived in the USA and was a friend of Sinatra and his interpreter. Cowby too. Nat King Cole was in Brazil in the 50s. It wasn't Bossa Nova that started this process. All the US jazz giants recorded Tom Jobim.
